Hunter White

Education Counselor

Hunter graduated from the Kent School in Connecticut with honors as a member of the Cum Laude Society. While at Kent, Hunter was the captain of the Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Squash teams and was also a member of the Varsity Rowing team. Hunter also served as the President of the Tea Club and Environmental Club.

Driven by his passion for the environment and love of good food, Hunter decided to attend Bowdoin College, one of the top liberal arts colleges in the US. While at Bowdoin, Hunter studied Asian Studies, Education Policy and Environmental Studies, and participated in a range of internship experiences. Hunter was also an exchange student at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei and Yunnan University in Kunming.

Hunter gradually discovered his passion for working with students while completing courses in the Education Department and gaining classroom experience with students from various age groups. He expanded on his interest in international education by completing two semester-length independent study projects focused on international education policy and on the experiences of Chinese students studying in America. Having previously worked with a reputable boarding school consulting company in Taiwan and a college consulting company in Beijing, Hunter has a significant background in education counseling and good understanding of the needs of Asian students.

Outside of work, Hunter is an avid traveler and eater, having traveled through Asia in search of the best food.
